Norwegian Martin Odegaard had to withdraw due to injury

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, 25, was substituted in the 67th minute after picking up an ankle injury in the second half of Norway’s 2-1 win over Austria on Monday night.

Team doctor Ola Sand said that “As anyone who has played football knows, it can come out with luck if you don’t tear the tendon. We’ll see if we use an ultrasound to see that. If we’re not sure, we’ll have an MRI tomorrow.” He scored the winning goal, just 2 goals behind Jørgen Juvet’s record of 33 goals for Norway.

A hat-trick from RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko kept Norway top of their group on points with Slovenia, who beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in Lyon.  Randal Kolo Muani’s close-range strike and Ousmane Dembélé’s left-footed drive gave France their first point of the Nations League campaign as Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne beat neighbors Belgium 2-0.That was the positive response from Didier Deschamps, who made eight changes to the starting team, including Kylian Mbappé, in the Group A2 match after Italy’s 3-1 loss in Paris last Friday.

But De Bruyne was distraught during the game and later lashed out at his team-mates, speaking to Belgian television VTM.   “I can’t say what went wrong here.I did part-time for the team and I can’t say it again in the media, but I have to do better in every way.The standard we want is the best, but if it’s not enough to get to that level, we have to give it our all. We have too much at the back.If there are six people in the back, there is no contact.” he said.

Belgium goalkeeper Koen Casteels headed Dembele’s shot straight into the path of the Paris Saint-Germain forward before Kolo Muani scored for France.Dembele, who always looked dangerous, was awarded the prize as he sidestepped along the edge of the Belgium box in the 57th minute before finding space to beat Casteels.Mbappe was signed in the 67th round alongside Bradley Bekola, who was mocked by the locals not forgetting his move from Lyon to PSG last season.

Mbappe missed a corner 10 minutes into Italy’s 2-1 win over Israel in the other Group A2 match and Casteels’ effort was saved in the 86th minute. The standings were clear. David Frattesi and former Everton striker Moise Kean scored, Luciano Spalletti’s side beat Luciano Spalletti 2-1.Kean made it 2-0 after Frattesi chest-bumped the Azzurri before half-time.

Israel equalized in the 90th minute, with hosts Mohammad Abu Fani taking the lead from a free kick in Budapest for security reasons.  Benfica winger Kerem Akturkoglu’s hat-trick earned Turkey a 3-1 win over Wales in Group B4 as Turkey advanced.Wales continued their strong start to life under new manager Craig Bellamy with a 2-1 win over Montenegro.
