Alisson Becker has slammed football’s governing bodies for never listening to players in a crowded fixture list.Liverpool kick off their European campaign against AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday.
UEFA has introduced two extra games in a league-style system this season, which will put more pressure and demands on top stars, and it is designed to make bigger games in the early stages of the Champions League, introduced to stop the European Super League split, but players clearly have major concerns.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson said “ UEFA and FIFA Premier League Realizing that there is internal competition, it is important that we all sit together and listen. It would be reasonable for all parties, including the players, to Sit together and listen.I think a lot of players have said it. You just need to listen. It’s to sit down together and understand that we’re thinking about the direction we want football to go. Not just adding games,Adding more competition. We want to give the best for football.I can’t compete at a high level if I’m tired. I want to give my best in all the games I play, but I need an answer. We seem to be close to a good solution for football and for the benefit of the players.”
Players Union The Professional Footballers’ Association is lobbying for players to speak more and have a more organized calendar. Alisson is jetting in from around the world to play for Brazil, while FIFA will host a new Club World Cup next summer with Manchester City and Chelsea.
