‘I came to Manchester United from Arsenal – after one training session I asked to cancel my contract’

The top striker, who scored his 80th goal for Arsenal, admitted he thought twice about his move from the Gunners to United in 2018.Alexis Sanchez has revealed he wants to terminate his Manchester United contract, just a day after joining the club.Alexis, who dazzled during his time in north London, was on course to start for Manchester City before donning a United jersey instead.

Sanchez previously shared on Instagram that he regretted his move: “Before I had a deal with Manchester City, but I accepted the opportunity to go to United because of football problems. It felt attractive and it was a good thing for me. I finally signed but I didn’t ask for information about what was happening in the club. Sometimes there are things you don’t notice until you get there.I remember. I understood a lot at the first training session. I came home and asked my family and agent, ‘Can’t I cancel my contract to go back to Arsenal?’I don’t think they’re comfortable, but I’m already there, and after the first few months, we’re not together anymore,” he said.

Sanchez’s time at Old Trafford can only be described as an adventure.United were cut short when they parted ways with him in 2020 as he scored just 5 goals in 45 games.

The Chilean returned to the San Siro in 2023 but made little progress.He scored only 4 goals in 33 matches this season.After moving to Inter Milan, he scored 20 goals in 109 games before moving to Marseille. This summer, Sanchez was transferred again to Udinese.
